We were off to see our friends and their baby, at Church Mead parkrun in Amersham and to celebrate Fiona completing her 100th parkrun and for me completing my 100th location.
However our plans were thwarted by signal failure :( Quick thinking meant we headed to Harrow park-run instead so we could feed our park-run habit :) Harrow also happens to be where are friends were married so really the best alternative place to run in solidarity as we weren't able to run with them in person.
Harrow park-run is a 3 lap tarmac course largely following the perimeter of the park/recreation ground with a couple climbs and descents. It's a pretty space, welcoming and with a strong community feel.
I could feel ALL my recent training runs with my calves feeling bruised and unloved. Although a fast course I was definitely in no shape for an event pb.
After a joyful run we headed into Harrow for brunch. My brunch request was truly lost in translation however excellent park-run fathing (uploading runs to strava, checking apps, giving people kudos) was had.
Next week, back to completing LonDone with Riddlesdown awaiting. Praying for no rain.
